Holiday Hours We will be open on Sundays as well in December from 1-5 pm, and as always by appointment.

LYDM Gallery has thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful space at 500 West Main, but alas the December exhibition will be its last there. So if you have not yet visited us there, please come see Annie Harris Massie's beautiful paintings and drawings through November and Clay Witt's new paintings in December.

Spring events We will continue to have art events and lunches throughout the spring and will put the schedule on the website as soon as it is finalized. We are also available for arts consulting as well. We hope to reopen in a more permanent place in the Fall of 2009. Through November 20, gallery artist Anne Chesnut's work is included in Drawn to Washington at Pyramid Atlantic and co-presented by The Washington Print Club. Her prints are also on view through November 7 at Xavier University Art Museum, Cincinnati.

LYDM and Feast join together to bring you Feast on Art, the Lunch with the Artist Series will be held once a month on Wednesday in the gallery. To see schedule >

Les Yeux du Monde is forming a Collectors’ Club this fall. To learn more about it, join us for an informational meeting on Monday, August 25 at noon. There will be monthly special events for its members and a featured artist/work per month sold to members for discounted prices.

Nicole Noelle, who has exhibited in Charlottesville exclusively with Les Yeux du Monde since the opening of the gallery on Water Street in 2001, is now heading for New York! Charlottesville was lucky enough to catch her early in her career and she is devoted to us for that reason. Les Yeux du Monde will host a Holiday Trunk Show on Friday, November 21, from 5 – 8 p..m. We will offer a 20% discount through the weekend on all her jewelry. Her modern designs and innovative interpretations have captivated the local art scene. Geometric shapes, high quality stones and pearls are combined to create one-of-a kind pieces that have been acquired by serious collectors of fine jewelry.
