October 6 | 3 pm
Dean Dass will take us on a tour of the new studio building at U.Va., Ruffin Hall. We will also see the exhibition of prints by master visiting artist Annu Vertanen and have he opportunity to purchase a print by one or both of these renowned artists. This first meeting will be free for folks that want more information.

October 24 | 4 - 7 pm
Members can start the weekend with a Champagne and Gearhart’s Chocolate party and a chance to purchase at a discount from Nicole Noelle’s latest jewelry collection, Sabbatical Travels.

October 30 | 5 - 7 pm
Shelby Fischer, LYDM’s featured artist in October, will offer her mixed media collages to members of the club at a special reception. Private tours of her studio can also be arranged.

November 14 | 5 - 7 pm
National Geographic photographer Sam Abell will host a private signing of his latest book, The Life of a Photograph, at the gallery. He will also offer to members in signed limited edition the brand new print, The Emperor's Garden Party, Imperial Palace, Tokyo for 20% off the retail price.

Artist slide show & talk | 6 - 7 pm
Following this event, Sam Abell will give a public slide show and discuss his new book.He will be available to sign copies of the book or you can call the gallery ahead to order inscribed copies.

December 16 | 5-6 pm
Clay Witt, featured artist of the month at Les Yeux du Monde, will discuss his unique printmaking methods and materials and offer prints for purchase.

Following Collectors' Club Clay Witt will give a public slide show of his work.

Anne Chesnut will discuss her innovative and groundbreaking digital prints and present a new edition for sale.

February 17 | 4 pm at Old Cabell Hall, UVA
Lincoln Perry will take us on a tour of his latest murals at Cabell Hall at the University of Virginia and will offer drawings or prints for purchase.

March 18 | 4 - 6 pm, 841 Wolf Trap Rd
Russ Warren, professor of printmaking at Davidson College from 1978–2008, will discuss his prints and techniques, and members will have the opportunity to choose a print from his oeuvre.

March 28 | 3 pm
Sonia Fox on her figure painting, and Steven Strumlauf on his bronze sculpture and a studio tour

September 25 | 2 pm
For those in the Collectors' Club or interested in being in, it will kick off the fall season with a tour of Robert Strini's studio. Strini, a former recipient of the prestigious Prix de Rome Fellowship in Sculpture, has had a successful career as an artist and teacher, having taught at the Rhode Island School of Design, the University of California at Santa Cruz and the Corcoran Museum School, while exhibiting widely and placing sculpture in many museum collections. For this private studio visit, the artist will give us a special preview of work that will be a part of an upcoming exhibition in Harrisonburg at The Smith House. He will also speak about his 45-year career as an artist, along with what inspires his art and process. Robert Strini's studio

Yearly dues for membership will be $100 per person. This will enable the member and a guest to attend the above educational events as well as other fun field trips. Members will have the opporutnity to buy (before others and at a discount) specific prints, photographs and small paintings, as well as jewelry and pottery. There is no requirement, however, to purchase anything.
